Project Manager

Overview

Our client, a reputable public sector entity, is progressing through comprehensive digital transformation efforts. They are looking for a seasoned project manager to lead and enhance governance practices across digital products, technology initiatives, and enterprise platforms. This role is ideal for those who thrive at the nexus of project execution, technology governance, enterprise architecture, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and refine digital governance frameworks, policies, standards, templates, and playbooks continuously.
• Collaborate closely with fellow project managers, product owners, IT architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to integrate governance mandates within project executions.
• Assure adherence to Digital Service Standards (DSS), IM8 requirements, and internal governance policies.
• Perform governance audits involving solution designs, system architecture, technical documents, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct governance checkpoints, architecture evaluations, and Go-Live readiness assessments to safeguard compliance.
• Track governance-related risks, oversee corrective actions, and ensure on-time resolution of any gaps in compliance.
• Prepare governance dashboards, management reports, and provide executive-level updates regularly.
• Lead efforts to raise awareness and disseminate best practices related to governance among various delivery teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in project management, digital governance, or ICT project delivery is required.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling complex ICT projects or governance-driven initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile frameworks, ICT governance, enterprise architecture, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Experience working collaboratively with business users, solution architects, developers, infrastructure personnel, cybersecurity teams, and third-party vendors.
• Exceptional analytical and detail-oriented skills coupled with strong stakeholder engagement, documentation, and communication abilities; capable of overseeing several projects concurrently.
• Prior involvement with Digital Service Standards (DSS), IM8 Governance, cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, digital transformation programs, operational readiness, or user experience governance is advantageous.
• Technical familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, React, or Angular is valued.
• Professional certifications including PMP, CITPM, TOGAF, ITIL, or equivalent qualifications are highly preferable.
