Role Overview
The Construction Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore, responsible for managing renovation and construction projects from initial planning through to project handover. This position involves strategy and oversight including project scheduling, budget management, and supervision of contractors, suppliers, and site staff to guarantee projects meet deadlines and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are achieved promptly.
- Oversee budgets to ensure projects stay within financial plans.
- Supervise contractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to maintain quality and schedule adherence.
- Conduct routine site inspections to assess progress, quality, and site safety.
- Address operational and technical challenges swiftly to avoid delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local building codes in Singapore.
- Manage procurement processes and facilitate timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain effective communication with designers, clients, and other stakeholders for transparent project updates.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports documenting progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong project management expertise including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in expediting procurement activities and tracking material orders to guarantee site delivery on schedule.
- Ability to conduct detailed inspections ensuring construction quality, safety adherence, and design conformity.
- Skilled in logistics management to organize site workflow, material handling, and operational sequencing.
- Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar disciplines is advantageous.
- Previous experience handling renovation or construction projects, especially in residential or commercial interiors, is preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with capacity to collaborate on site and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with Singapore's local building regulations, safety standards, and contract administration is highly desired.
