Project Advisor - Warehouse

Role Overview

The Project Advisor - Warehouse offers expert senior-level guidance to Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) concerning the design, optimization, and future transformation of warehousing, supply chain, and logistics operations that support the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) throughout its lifecycle. This position is responsible for comprehensive oversight, technical validation, and readiness to make decisions related to warehouse strategy, conceptual designs, financial assessments, and the phased execution roadmap. The advisor ensures all deliverables are technically sound, financially viable, compliant with nuclear requirements, and ready for implementation, thereby facilitating well-informed decisions at executive and Board levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as ENEC's primary expert on warehousing, supply chain, inventory management, and logistics strategies.
• Evaluate inventory strategies considering BNPP's lifecycle criticality and resilience requirements.
• Support the formulation of future warehousing and supply chain strategies aligned with BNPP lifecycle needs.
• Define and rationalize warehousing operating models ensuring feasibility, nuclear compliance, and executability.
• Ensure that design, technology, and operating models align with core strategies.
• Convert approved strategies into detailed, phased implementation plans.
• Incorporate risk and resilience considerations into strategic recommendations.
• Manage the planning and design process for new warehouse facilities and oversee execution.
• Lead comprehensive assessments of existing warehousing, supply chain, and logistics operations to establish a factual strategic baseline covering warehouse footprint, capacity, zoning, inventory criticality, allocation, safety stock policies, supply chain network, and logistics performance.
• Validate all baseline data, assumptions, and analyses for accuracy and traceability ensuring decision-grade quality.
• Identify immediate improvement opportunities and early initiatives.
• Develop and manage a phased transition roadmap from current warehousing to future facilities, leading change management and capability building.
• Ensure synchronization between strategy, design, procurement, and execution readiness phases.
• Prepare necessary tender documents for execution stages when required.
• Select and supervise consultants providing specialized expertise, managing scope, deliverables, quality, and performance.
• Coordinate inputs across internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, IT, HSE, and Security departments.
• Integrate stakeholder requirements while maintaining project deliverables and quality standards.
• Prepare executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations, clearly communicating complex technical and financial issues.
• Support steering committees, executive reviews, and decision-making processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Over 20 years of experience in warehousing and logistics strategy, supply chain transformation, and working within large, heavily regulated, asset-intensive industries such as nuclear energy.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, APICS, CSCMP, or CIPS preferred.
