Overview

The Program Manager will provide crucial support to the leadership teams within Women’s Health and the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences, particularly the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility division at UCSF Health. This role involves collaborating with multiple clinical, academic, and operational groups to drive strategic projects, improve operations, and prioritize service initiatives across Women’s Health and REI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee strategic initiative roadmaps for REI, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, timelines, and implementation strategies across programs.
  • Facilitate the planning and operationalization of growth initiatives, new partnerships, care delivery changes, and program developments, producing governance materials and executive communications.
  • Produce executive presentations, summaries, business cases, and meeting documentation for stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration with finance, strategy, legal, IT, human resources, and clinical operations to support organizational objectives.
  • Conduct analyses related to finances, operations, patient volumes, staffing, revenue potential, and implementation planning to inform decision making.
  • Track and oversee resolution of issues, risks, and decisions related to clinical and laboratory operations, compliance, governance, and partnership efforts.
  • Lead meetings and workgroups, ensuring clear documentation, follow-up, and timely execution of plans.
  • Support the development of scalable processes and infrastructure to enable sustained growth and improved performance in Women's Health and REI services.
  • Collaborate with divisional and health system leaders to align initiatives with UCSF’s clinical, academic, research, equity, and public mission goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, life sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least five years in healthcare administration, academic medicine, strategic operations, project management, consulting, or related areas.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex projects involving clinicians, administrators, and executives.
  • Strong skills in writing, analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Adept at navigating a complex, matrixed academic health environment with competing priorities and sensitive issues.

  • Graduate degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) or current graduate studies in a relevant field.
  • Experience in ambulatory operations, reproductive or women’s health, academic medicine, service line management, strategic partnerships, or growth initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Epic APeX, healthcare data analytics, access workflow optimization, financial modeling, and operational dashboards.
  • Skilled in preparing executive-level documents, governance materials, and implementation plans.
