Their new Taupō plant is a state-of-the-art facility focused on high productivity, safety, reliability, and ongoing improvements.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our modern Taupō manufacturing plant. This hands-on leadership role involves managing daily production goals in a safety-critical, high output environment. The role demands fostering strong operational standards, developing operator skills, and ensuring a disciplined, clean, and secure workplace as the facility grows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage shift reports and share production insights with the team
• Ensure new employees are trained to work safely and efficiently
• Promote and uphold a Zero Harm safety culture by swiftly addressing hazards and incidents
• Serve as the escalation point for plant issues, major stoppages, and disruptions
• Supervise prestart and post-production equipment checks, coordinating with Engineering and Maintenance teams
• Lead and mentor shift teams ensuring adherence to SOPs, role rotation, and completion of training
• Accurately manage rosters, labour deployment, and timesheets
• Prepare end-of-shift reports and analyze production data utilizing BPCS, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Conduct toolbox talks, support daily leadership meetings, and maintain effective team communication
• Work 12-hour shifts initially, moving to a rotating day/night schedule as the plant ramps up

Candidate Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of frontline supervisory experience in manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated leadership in Health & Safety, setting standards and leading by example
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities within operational settings
• Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word, with competency in reporting and basic data analysis
• Exceptional attention to detail and solid numerical reasoning capabilities
• Proven capacity to direct and coach experienced teams to enhance performance and accountability
