Role Overview
This permanent, full-time position is based onsite at our Dalgleish Street location in Adelaide with no option for hybrid work. The role involves working standard shifts Monday to Friday, either morning (6:30 AM to 2:36 PM) or afternoon (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM), totaling a 38-hour workweek with 7.6 hour shifts. Shift allowances complement the base salary.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily production tasks in alignment with specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO standards.
- Engage in daily stand-up meetings to communicate relevant concerns and progress.
- Perform in-process sampling and monitoring to ensure product batches comply with quality standards.
- Accurately complete production paperwork including batch sheets, packing logs, cleaning, and autoclave records to maintain full traceability.
- Report production issues promptly to supervisors or lead operators.
- Assist with the review and improvement of manufacturing documentation such as batch records and SOPs.
- Support investigations, projects, and validation efforts as needed.
- Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies by reporting hazards and incidents, fostering a safe working environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analyses and suggestions for process enhancements.
- Perform additional duties to support efficient team and business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or TAFE qualification is required.
- Previous experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
- Ability to effectively follow production schedules and manage time efficiently.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing operational demands.
- Detail-oriented with a disciplined and methodical approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Must be capable of safely lifting up to 20 kilograms.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods during shifts.
- Willingness to work with chemicals and hazardous substances safely.
- Flexible to work overtime and varied hours as needed.
- Compliance with strict cleanroom standards including restrictions on hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, piercings, and facial hair.
- Use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gowns, gloves, lab coats, and ear plugs is mandatory.
- Exposure to loud noises from machinery and equipment is part of the environment.
Working Conditions
The job involves a controlled cleanroom setting with adherence to GMP safety standards and continuous standing. Shift allowances are provided in addition to base pay.
