Role Overview
The Production & Factory Manager position is a full-time role based at the factory in Accra. This role entails managing daily factory operations, including planning and scheduling production runs, coordinating resources, and ensuring output meets quality benchmarks and delivery deadlines. The manager is responsible for supervising factory personnel, task delegation, performance tracking, and enforcing safe and compliant working conditions. Additional duties include optimizing operational workflows, overseeing production-related inventory, collaborating with technical teams for equipment upkeep, and addressing any operational challenges. The role requires monitoring key production indicators, preparing reports for company leadership, and working closely with design, procurement, and sales departments to synchronize factory activities with company objectives.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience in garment production, manufacturing, or factory management, including leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in production planning and management to effectively schedule, allocate resources, and control output.
- Strong background in quality assurance and manufacturing operations to uphold product standards and streamline factory processes.
- Experience in operational management focused on enhancing productivity while ensuring safety and regulatory adherence.
- Preferably experienced in leading production teams within garment, textile, or light manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with familiarity in production reporting and productivity tools.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-departmental teams and factory staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Technical or university qualifications related to manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations management, or a similar discipline are advantageous.
- Must be available to work on-site at the Accra facility and manage increased workload during peak periods as necessary.
