About the Role
This position offers a fixed-term contract of twelve (12) months and involves collaboration with diverse teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant accessory products under Primark's rigorous quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure products meet quality and safety standards by leveraging technical expertise aligned with Primark's guidelines.
- Lead quality assessments, including risk evaluations and approval workflows such as Black Seal and Gold Seal processes.
- Analyze returns data, customer feedback, and test results to identify risks, resolve quality challenges, and enhance product lifecycle performance.
- Work closely with suppliers, buying teams, and compliance departments to tackle quality issues and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, competitor benchmarks, and regulatory changes to elevate product quality.
- Support supplier performance through inspections, reporting, and collaboration with sourcing and ethical teams.
- Effectively communicate across various stakeholders, contribute to training programs, and represent the Quality Assurance function in strategic meetings.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and develop team members by providing regular feedback, performance evaluations, and personalized growth plans.
- Promote teamwork and ensure consistent and fair decision-making across teams.
- Facilitate and support training initiatives, including Quality Academy programs and best practice training for sample approvals involving QA, buying teams, and suppliers.
- Offer continuous coaching and maintain communication to update stakeholders on quality standards, testing protocols, and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with offshore quality teams and buying departments to address CFS rejections and identify further training needs for capacity building.
