Description de l'emploi
Role overview
Retailogists is a Montreal-based retail technology company that operates both as a growth partner and as a product business. The company helps retail brands grow by taking full ownership of outcomes, while also building and selling its own software products, including Avia, Orca, Kora, and additional future offerings shaped by real client experience.
This position is based in Montreal, Canada and is a full-time, in-office role. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts within the growth partner practice, with ownership over each account's P&L, billables, and performance results. The role combines account ownership, project leadership, prioritization, and strategic input into the company's product roadmap.
What the role involves
You will run client engagements end to end, reordering priorities as business needs evolve, coordinating internal specialists, and making trade-off decisions that protect profitability while improving client outcomes. In addition to managing delivery and financial performance, you will bring client-side learnings back into the roadmap for Avia, Orca, Kora, and upcoming products.
Why this opportunity stands out
- Work with C-level leaders and senior decision-makers at established retail businesses from day one.
- Handle accounts across multiple retail categories such as apparel, footwear, and specialty retail.
- Join a fast-paced environment with limited bureaucracy where performance is visible and rewarded.
- Shape the direction of Avia, Orca, Kora, and new products through direct exposure to client needs.
Responsibilities
The role includes ownership of a client book, financial accountability, account growth, and delivery oversight.
- Take full responsibility for a portfolio of client accounts and manage them as your own book of business.
- Own billable performance for your accounts and work toward utilization and revenue goals for each client.
- Manage account-level P&L, including margin tracking, scope control, and cost monitoring.
- Spot opportunities to expand services and convert them into upsell or cross-sell growth.
- Drive measurable business improvement for clients, not only task completion or scope delivery.
- Continuously adjust priorities as blockers, requests, or commercial priorities shift.
- Coordinate multiple client projects at once, including timelines, dependencies, and resource planning.
- Lead transformation and integration initiatives for retail clients across ecommerce, WMS, POS, and ERP systems.
- Bring engineering, consulting, and leadership teams into alignment when client priorities change.
- Decide what should be built, deferred, or challenged when trade-offs arise with clients.
- Translate client feedback and market gaps into product opportunities for current and future products.
- Share account performance, billables, and financial updates with leadership on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a retail operator, product manager, or strategy consultant, with direct responsibility for P&L or business results.
- Proven ownership of budgets, margins, and cost discipline.
- History of growing client accounts and producing measurable commercial impact.
- Experience leading at least one successful digital transformation or systems integration initiative in retail, such as ecommerce, WMS, POS, or ERP.
- Strong ability to manage several projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
- Comfort with making priority decisions in uncertain situations and pushing back when required.
- Background in retail or retail technology is mandatory.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Compensation and work environment
The role offers a competitive base salary along with performance-linked incentives tied to book performance and billables. It is a full-time, in-office position based in Montreal. You will also gain direct exposure to C-suite decision-making and high-level strategy in a fast-moving, low-bureaucracy environment.
Additional information
This position is focused on business accountability as much as product thinking. Success in the role means keeping client accounts profitable, improving client outcomes, and turning real-world delivery insights into product direction.
