Position Overview

Key Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the produce department, ensuring it is well-organized and appealing to customers at all times.
- Regularly check product quality by rotating stock and promptly removing expired items to uphold freshness.
- Confirm all produce items have accurate pricing and clear signage, adhering to company guidelines on ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and proper labeling.
- Comply with strict food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols, including consistent temperature monitoring and appropriate handling based on sell-by and expiration dates.
- Manage stocking activities, including replenishing merchandise, applying protective product measures, and arranging various display setups to maintain a fully stocked area.
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies to ensure a secure and clean working environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts encompassing evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support store operations.
Role Challenges
- Handle a substantial volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including managing overnight shifts by maintaining focus and energy.
- Carry out physical duties such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items generally up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks like stocking and zoning, with emphasis on precision and consistency to maintain store standards.

Compensation
The hourly starting wage for this role is $17.20 CAD.
