Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead the Procurement team at a renowned organization. This role demands extensive experience in procurement processes and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Duties
- Oversee comprehensive procurement operations including helpdesk management.
- Manage purchase requisition and purchase order workflows and the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle utilizing SAP modules (MM/P2P).
- Drive vendor evaluation processes, request for quotation (RFQ) and request for proposal (RFP) activities, contract negotiations, and vendor onboarding procedures.
- Supervise invoice processing, ensure accurate three-way matching between purchase order, goods receipt, and invoice, handle dispute resolutions, and guarantee timely vendor payments.
- Maintain and update dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance reports using advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders and clients, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Address escalations promptly and implement both corrective and preventive strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement operations team, emphasizing productivity enhancement and adherence to compliance standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in procurement operations or shared services.
- In-depth expertise in SAP, particularly in MM/P2P modules.
- Proven track record in people leadership and team management.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Strong capability in vendor and client management as well as handling escalations.
