About the Role
Meta is actively engaged in designing, constructing, leasing, and managing high-efficiency, high-performance data centers across the globe. We are currently recruiting a Principal for Strategic Data Center Partnerships to spearhead the expansion of Meta's global data center network. This role is critical for supporting our strategic emphasis on AI advancement by driving the acceleration of infrastructure through strong collaborations with key players such as financial institutions, developers, colocation services, and long-term asset holders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead strategic planning for complex investment partnership structures that focus on data center and power infrastructure projects.
- Expand and manage the strategic partnerships program by identifying and structuring deals with development partners to accommodate future data center growth.
- Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams to align strategies with Meta’s aggressive capacity growth goals.
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, valuations, and sensitivity analyses to ensure investment and partnership opportunities meet both commercial viability and corporate financial targets.
- Establish governance frameworks around partnership agreements.
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with Meta’s major third-party infrastructure partners.
- Engage with the global investment and infrastructure community to fulfill Meta’s infrastructure requirements.
- Travel domestically and internationally as necessary, accounting for over 25% of time.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in private equity, investments, or infrastructure development, particularly focused on data center or power infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial structuring, investment analysis, and large-scale capital project delivery involving complex commercial agreements.
- Ability to think strategically and make decisions in ambiguous environments with effective influence over executive leadership.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a successful history of leading projects and delivering multifaceted solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills and effective cross-functional communication ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation capabilities.
- Leadership experience managing sizeable teams and scaling organizations during growth phases.
- Insight into industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes within data center or power infrastructure domains.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active development and usage of AI skills, including prompt and context engineering, as well as agent orchestration.
- Prior experience working within the data center industry.
- International infrastructure development exposure.
- 12+ years in commercial real estate investment and development.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to optimize workflows and achieve measurable efficiency and quality improvements.
- Advanced degrees such as MBA or J.D., or Bachelor’s in business, finance, or real estate.
- Experience with responsible and ethical AI implementation, including risk and bias management and quality assurance.
- Background in private equity and investment banking.
