Principal Solution Architect Consultant

About the Role

We are searching for a Principal Solution Architect to lead the architectural strategy of a scalable, high-performance AI-native product platform. This position uniquely blends technological innovation with product insights, business needs, and artificial intelligence advancements. The role focuses on creating systems that are not only robust and scalable but also intelligent and adaptable to future changes. Serving as a key collaborator with Product Managers, you will shape what products are built, the rationale behind them, and their evolution toward AI-augmented and agent-driven solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive platform architecture, spanning backend, data, and frontend layers.
• Implement scalable, resilient, extensible, and cost-effective system designs.
• Set and maintain architectural standards, principles, and best practices across teams.
• Incorporate AI-native system patterns, including agent orchestration and inference pipelines.
• Work closely with Product Managers to analyze customer workflows and challenges, translating them into architectures that expedite decision-making, lower operational friction, and boost user outcomes.
• Ensure all architectural decisions support the product strategy, business objectives like growth and scalability, and balance trade-offs between speed, scalability, cost, performance, flexibility, and complexity.
• Design long-term evolutionary systems that facilitate monetization and AI-driven differentiation.
• Lead AI agent-based architecture involving root cause analysis agents, anomaly detection, incident remediation, conversational assistants, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
• Architect data processing pipelines integrating LLMs, machine learning models, vector stores, and real-time inference, enforcing explainability, observability, and AI decision guardrails with fallback and human override mechanisms.
• Provide decisive architectural opinions supported by strong technical and business justifications, addressing feasibility, maintainability, impact, and AI risk factors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially Product Managers and Engineering, ensuring ongoing alignment with product roadmaps and mitigating technical and AI/ML risks like bias or drift.
• Design systems for high-volume data handling, real-time and batch workflows, scalable APIs, and frontend systems with modern technologies like distributed systems, microservices, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and MERN stack.
• Lead governance activities, including creation of high- and low-level designs, design reviews, benchmarking, capacity planning, and standards enforcement related to performance, reliability, security, and AI model lifecycle management.
• Drive forward-looking platform evolution towards AI-assisted systems, predictive analytics, autonomous workflows, intelligent automations, and reusable AI components to ensure future readiness and adaptability.

Required Skills and Experience

• Over 10 years in software engineering or architecture, designing scalable distributed systems.
• Proficient with backend systems, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases (notably MongoDB and Elasticsearch), and modern frontend frameworks like React.
• In-depth domain knowledge including ServiceNow, CMDB, DataOps, PlatformOps, FinOps, application, and AI architecture.
• Experience or strong interest in AI/ML system design encompassing large language models, anomaly detection, recommendation engines, real-time and batch ML pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Outstanding communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts in accessible business language and to influence senior stakeholders and engineering teams effectively.
