About the Role
Alice Anume Memorial School of Nursing and Midwifery (AAMSNM) in Pallisa is seeking a visionary and experienced professional to serve as Principal. The appointee will provide comprehensive strategic, academic, and administrative leadership, ensuring the institution delivers high-quality competency-based training, adheres to regulatory standards, and promotes institutional growth, research, and the development of skilled, ethical, and employable health professionals.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Midwifery plus a postgraduate diploma in Medical Education, OR a Bachelor's degree in Medical Education.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Health Education, Medical Education, Public Health, Health Services Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Current registration and valid practicing license from the relevant professional regulatory council.
- At least ten years of experience in nursing or health professional education, of which three years should be in a senior leadership or management role.
Key Competencies
- Demonstrated strategic and transformational leadership capabilities.
- Skilled in institutional planning and management.
- Familiarity with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Competency-Based Training (CBT) models.
- Expertise in academic leadership and curriculum oversight.
- Proficiency in driving research and innovation.
- Strong financial and resource management abilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ICT, including effective use of digital technologies and institutional information systems for academic and administrative functions.
- Adherence to high ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
