About the Association
The Civil Engineering Association at NIT Raipur (CEA-NITRR) is a community comprising civil engineering students and mentors dedicated to academic achievement and hands-on learning. It encourages innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable engineering practices by organizing events, workshops, and practical projects. The association serves as a platform to engage with industry developments and emerging civil engineering technologies, helping members to build professional skills, grow their networks, and advance the civil engineering field at NIT Raipur.
Role Overview
The Principal will serve as a full-time, on-site leader based in Raipur for the Civil Engineering Association at NIT Raipur. This leadership position involves overseeing both academic and co-curricular activities, steering the association's strategic vision, and ensuring alignment with institutional standards and objectives. Key duties include mentoring members, organizing events, lectures, and workshops, and fostering collaboration among students, faculty, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct planning and execution of technical and educational activities within the association.
- Support research initiatives and drive innovation within the civil engineering domain.
- Promote sustainable and ethical engineering practices throughout academic programs.
- Manage administrative functions, resource allocation, and continuous program enhancement to improve student academic growth and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive knowledge in civil engineering or a related field, backed by academic or professional expertise.
- Experience in academic leadership roles, including mentoring students and coordinating departmental or association events.
- Proven capability to plan, organize, and manage educational events and technical workshops.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with students, faculty members, and external stakeholders.
- A passion for fostering innovation, sustainability, and ethical standards in civil engineering education and practice.
- Understanding of outcome-based education, curriculum development, and continuous academic improvement is advantageous.
- A postgraduate qualification (M.Tech/M.E./Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering or related disciplines with relevant academic or industry experience is highly preferred.
