Description de l'emploi
Role overview
The President will lead Wiehler Mechanical in a way that reflects the company’s identity, operating style, and values. This position goes beyond financial delivery: it is also responsible for building a workplace where employees are proud of their work, support each other, and stay accountable to what they commit to.
Reporting to the CEO, this leader will drive the company’s strategy across Production Plumbing, Production HVAC, Custom Homes Plumbing, Custom Homes HVAC, Commercial Mechanical, and Service. The goal is to deliver strong operating and financial outcomes while also protecting and strengthening the culture that defines the business.
Core values
The President serves as the main guardian of the company culture and is expected to consistently demonstrate and reinforce these values:
- Integrity: Choose the right course of action even when it is inconvenient or costly, and model honest decision-making and follow-through.
- Teamwork: Bring the divisions into alignment so everyone understands their role and works toward shared and individual goals.
- Quality: Promote work that meets client expectations while supporting both short-term and long-term profitability.
- Learning: Remain curious and open to improvement, and help create an environment where people can build their skills.
- Personal accountability: Own outcomes, expect clear commitments, and build systems that support accountability, especially around leading indicators.
Key responsibilities

- Maintain consistent results in project delivery, service performance, and financial outcomes.
- Preserve and reinforce the company culture as the organization expands.
Operational leadership
- Guide divisional managers with clear direction and support.

- Improve productivity, planning, communication, and execution through ongoing refinement.
Financial management and performance
- Take ownership of overall company performance, including profitability, cash flow, and financial stability.
- Maintain strong discipline in job costing, forecasting, and margin control across all divisions.
- Review and approve budgets and operating plans.

- Make financial choices that support long-term sustainability, not only short-term results.
People leadership and culture
- Lead, support, and develop divisional leaders and management teams so expectations are clear and results are owned.
- Shape a high-performing leadership culture built on trust, accountability, and collaboration.
- Reinforce a workplace where ownership, mutual support, quality, and learning are part of daily behavior.
- Address performance concerns directly, fairly, and without blame-shifting or avoidance.
Execution and communication
- Set a steady rhythm for planning, reporting, and accountability across divisions.
- Make sure communication works well between leadership, office teams, and field teams.
- Give the CEO direct, honest updates on wins, issues, and opportunities.
- Serve as the escalation point for significant operational, financial, or people-related matters.
External relationships
- Maintain strong working relationships with builders, developers, homeowners, suppliers, and service clients.
- Represent the company professionally within the industry and the wider business community.
- Ensure customer and partner commitments are consistently fulfilled.
Measures of success
- Consistently strong financial and operational results across all divisions.
- Clear operating systems and dashboards that show each division’s direction and leading indicators.
- Projects completed on schedule, within budget, and to a high quality standard.
- Healthy growth and dependable performance in every division.
- Strong client satisfaction and repeat business.
- An aligned, accountable, and effective leadership group.
- A workplace culture where people take pride in their work and own the results.
Qualifications and experience

- Background in mechanical contracting, construction, or a closely related trade environment is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of both project-based and service-based operations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build accountability, and shape culture.
- Strong financial and operational judgment, including budgeting, forecasting, and job costing.
- Experience leading in a private, owner-led, or growth-focused business setting.
Compensation and long-term incentives
The package includes a competitive executive salary of $175,000.00 plus a performance-based annual incentive. The role also participates in an equity-like program linked to enterprise value growth, aligning compensation with the long-term success of the business.
