Role Overview: Presales Engineer

The Presales Engineer will engage with prospective clients to understand their technical requirements and craft customized solutions using ResolveIT’s product suite. This position blends technical knowledge with commercial insight to align solutions with clients’ business objectives. Key duties include collaborating with sales teams to develop proposals and demonstrations, simplifying complex technologies for diverse audiences, and providing expert advice during the sales process.

This role requires staying informed about current industry developments and vendor solutions to recommend competitive, innovative architectures and ensure integration viability. Additionally, the engineer supports RFP and RFQ responses, maintains clear communications, and facilitates smooth handoffs to the delivery and support teams to guarantee client satisfaction throughout project implementation.

Role Overview: Sales and Administrative Support

Supporting the sales department operationally, this position manages quotes, bid preparations, customer record maintenance, schedules, sales tracking, and general administrative duties. Effective coordination and documentation are central to enhancing customer responsiveness and ensuring streamlined internal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess client technical needs and translate them into tailored ICT solutions.
• Work alongside sales to prepare and present detailed proposals, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
• Clarify technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders to foster trust and understanding.
• Recommend appropriate technologies, system architectures, and integration strategies.
• Respond accurately to RFPs, RFQs, and technical inquiries.
• Serve as a technical consultant throughout the sales cycle, addressing challenges and ensuring solution feasibility.
• Collaborate with delivery and support teams to guarantee successful project execution and smooth knowledge transition.
• Prepare quotes and bids, manage client records, coordinate sales meetings, and track sales-related activities.
• Handle general administrative tasks to support sales operations effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in technical support addressing software and hardware issues for clients.
• Demonstrated abilities in presales activities and sales communication to articulate solution value.
• Knowledge of integration procedures and relevant technologies.
• Understanding of IT security measures and protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent interpersonal communication.
• Relevant ICT certifications or coursework are advantageous.
• Preferred academic credential: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based onsite in Kingston, Jamaica. Candidates will be expected to work on-site and actively participate in cross-team collaborations.
