Overview
This opportunity is offered through Mindrift, which matches subject-matter experts with project-based AI work for major technology companies. The focus is on evaluating, testing, and helping improve AI systems. This is not a permanent role; participation is tied to individual projects.

Project Scope
Although each assignment may differ, contributors may be asked to work on finance-focused evaluation tasks such as:
- Creating and reviewing Quarterly Business Review scenarios, including performance versus benchmark, allocation drift relative to IPS tolerance limits, and significant changes in fund documents.
- Building rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting test cases that involve cost basis, short-term and long-term capital gains, and the wash-sale rule.
- Developing suitability checks that assess risk tolerance, investment horizon, restricted holdings, and concentration thresholds against a client’s Investment Policy Statement.
- Preparing fee-stack analysis cases that compare portfolio-weighted expense ratios, advisory charges, and total all-in costs against relevant category benchmarks.
- Writing clear test cases with checked calculations, policy references, and correct final answers.
Candidate Profile
This role suits professionals from investment management, financial advisory, or wider financial services backgrounds who are comfortable with part-time, project-based work.
The ideal contributor should have a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline, along with at least 2 years of experience in finance, investment, accounting, or financial services. Recent or current experience in advisory, portfolio management, or a related area is preferred.
Practical understanding of portfolio performance review, tax-lot accounting, wash-sale regulations, and Investment Policy Statement concepts is important. Professional credentials such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, or CIPM are considered a strong advantage.
Excellent written English at C1 level or above is required.
How the Process Works
The sequence is: apply, complete qualification step(s), join a project, finish the assigned work, and receive payment.
Time Commitment
The active project workload is estimated at about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate for active phases and is not a guaranteed number of hours.
Compensation
Participants on this project can earn up to the hourly equivalent of USD 50, depending on skill level and working pace. Pay may vary across different projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise.
