About the Role
The Portfolio Manager for Credit Cards at IndusInd Bank will spearhead portfolio expansion, customer engagement, retention, profitability, and lifecycle management within the Credit Card division. This position entails creating customer-centric approaches, overseeing portfolio campaigns, pinpointing avenues for growth, and utilizing analytics to boost activation, spending, retention, and overall portfolio outcomes. Collaboration with teams such as Analytics, Risk, Product, Digital, Operations, Marketing, and Partnerships is essential for achieving strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio growth and profitability by implementing data-driven customer lifecycle strategies.
- Track and oversee key metrics including activation rates, spending, engagement, retention, yield, and revenue.
- Design and deploy campaigns that drive customer engagement, usage stimulation, reactivation, and retention.
- Create targeted strategies for different customer acquisition cohorts and lifecycle segments.
- Analyze customer behaviors, assess campaign effectiveness, and evaluate portfolio performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner with Analytics teams to derive actionable insights supporting business decisions.
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Digital departments to optimize customer journeys and enhance experience.
- Manage merchant, network, and partnership offers to increase customer engagement and spending.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking to discover ways to strengthen product offerings.
- Prepare comprehensive portfolio reviews, business cases, managerial presentations, and executive updates.
- Drive implementation of strategic initiatives across functions ensuring timely accomplishment of business objectives.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, governance, and policy requirements within portfolio programs.
Education and Experience
- MBA degree from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutions.
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Credit Cards, Retail Banking, Analytics, or Strategy Consulting.
- In-depth knowledge of customer lifecycle management, portfolio economics, and engagement tactics.
- Proven track record of leveraging analytics and customer insights to foster business growth.
- Experience handling campaign management, business tracking, and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for solving complex business challenges and forming strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint alongside excellent data interpretation and project management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across business, risk, technology, and operations.
- Commercially astute with emphasis on enhancing customer experience, growth, and profitability.
