Porter

Overview

This role involves supporting hospital operations through efficient handling and management of medical and general supplies. The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth supply chain processes within the hospital environment.

General Requirements

• Educational qualification equivalent to completion of 7th standard, 'O' Level, or SSC.
• Between one to two years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Capability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with surgical consumables and medical instruments.

Job Responsibilities

• Managing loading and unloading of bulk deliveries and overseeing bulk stock, supply, and storage of consumables and other hospital materials.
• Conducting comprehensive inventories of consumables and stationery supplies.
• Transporting consumables and hospital supplies from the main store to various sub-stores.
• Channeling all queries regarding indents, consumables, or hospital supplies to the store pharmacist.
• Restocking medications and other pharmaceutical supplies on shelves.
• Typing and printing indent documents with accuracy.
• Maintaining well-organized workspaces within the main store.
