Role overview
The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is looking for a Pool & Beach Assistant Manager to support smooth daily operations across the pool and beach areas at its luxury resort in West Bay Lagoon, Doha. The property offers refined hospitality across rooms and suites, restaurants, spa and fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach, a club lounge, and event spaces.
This position sits within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category and is a full-time, non-management role. The environment emphasizes luxury service, guest wellbeing, operational discipline, and the brand’s Gold Standards.
Key duties
You will help ensure that the team works cohesively to deliver excellent guest service and that daily operations run efficiently and safely. The role includes supervising setup and shutdown tasks, maintaining cleanliness and organization, checking stock levels, supporting safety standards, and helping coordinate maintenance follow-up when needed.
You will also assist with people management activities such as hiring support, onboarding, training, rostering, performance evaluation, coaching, counseling, and corrective action. The role expects you to act as a positive example for the team and to support the Fair Treatment/Open Door process when required.
Operational expectations
The position requires active monitoring of guest areas for service quality, safety, seating, and guest comfort. You will be expected to verify grooming and presentation standards, inspect storage and equipment, follow FIFO practices, and complete inventories and requisitions. Regular compliance with company policies, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and brand standards is essential.
Physical and work requirements
The job involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking through an entire shift. You must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance, work in narrow or elevated spaces, move on stairs and service ramps, and perform repetitive physical movements such as bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching. Clear verbal communication and the ability to read different formats, including small print, are also required.
Qualifications
The preferred education level is a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Candidates should have at least 2 years of related work experience and a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required for this role.
