Role Overview
Africa World Airlines Limited is seeking a Planning and Control Center Officer to support aircraft maintenance planning, control, and coordination activities in Accra. The role focuses on ensuring scheduled work is carried out on time, maintaining control of heavy maintenance events, and supporting operational readiness through effective planning and follow-up.
Key Tasks
- Make sure every planned maintenance activity is executed as scheduled.
- Apply heavy maintenance packages in line with the maintenance plan and any technical guidance issued by Engineering Management or contracted service providers.
- Coordinate with MRO/AMO teams to secure heavy maintenance slots and improve the schedule to suit operational needs and reduce aircraft ground time.
- Track heavy maintenance progress closely, working with MRO/AMO partners to manage timelines and update slot arrangements when needed.
- Complete all follow-up actions once heavy maintenance checks have been finished.
- Keep an eye on aircraft BDD status and ensure BDD is planned within the required limits.
- Support the Finance Department in preparing the monthly maintenance report using aircraft utilization data.
- Take on any additional duties assigned by the Planning and Control Manager.
Qualification and Experience
The position requires a degree or diploma in engineering related to aircraft engineering and maintenance, along with an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License. Candidates should also have at least 2 years of experience in Maintenance Planning & Control or a Maintenance Control Centre (MCC).
