Physics Specialist (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Physics Specialist for a full-time remote position where you will develop and solve advanced physics problems that challenge the capabilities of large language models (LLMs). Your primary task will be creating clear, stepwise physics solutions with detailed reasoning to assess these AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Devise and solve intricate physics challenges to evaluate performance limits of LLMs.
• Generate detailed, stepwise solutions explaining your reasoning to test model understanding.
• Work collaboratively with LLM research teams to align problem creation with evaluation objectives emphasizing abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Define and develop new evaluation benchmarks covering physics curricula from early undergraduate to doctoral levels.
• Provide thorough annotations and constructive critiques to enhance AI output quality.

• Advanced knowledge in physics fields such as quantum mechanics, relativity, and electromagnetism.
