Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai for a Pet Groomer. The selected candidate will be responsible for routine grooming activities such as bathing, drying, brushing, trimming fur, and managing nail care for dogs and other pets. Tasks must be performed adhering to strict safety and hygiene protocols. The groomer will assess the pets’ coat and skin conditions to recommend suitable grooming options while ensuring the animals experience minimal stress and maximum comfort. Client interaction is key, involving understanding their preferences, providing post-grooming care advice, and keeping detailed service records. The role also requires upkeep of grooming tools and cleanliness of the work area, supporting appointment management, and teamwork to maintain consistent quality service.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong capability in animal care and welfare, with safe, compassionate handling of pets.
- Experienced in pet care procedures such as grooming, hygiene practices, and behavior monitoring to ensure pet comfort.
- Good communication and customer service skills for engaging effectively with clients and meeting their grooming needs.
- Previous professional experience in pet grooming or an associated pet care role is highly desirable.
- Knowledgeable about grooming techniques suitable for a variety of breeds and coat types, including safe use of grooming equipment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and manage physically demanding tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Formal training or certification in pet grooming or animal care adds advantage.
