About the Role
Located in Manchester, this position is crucial for developing and executing people strategies that align with business objectives. The role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping transform people-focused priorities into actionable plans, strengthening capabilities, and boosting organizational effectiveness through strategic partnering.
Who We Are
Our People Team collaborates closely with the business to ensure the people strategy is meaningful, cohesive, and supports business goals. This role is central to that mission, working alongside leaders to craft people plans and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture where teams can excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to implement people plans aligned with business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by building strong relationships, coaching managers, and offering pragmatic advice that connects people decisions to better outcomes.
- Drive execution of people priorities through initiatives involving organizational effectiveness, talent management, succession planning, capability development, engagement, and workforce planning.
- Manage cyclical processes such as performance management, pay reviews, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with People Partnering Team and centers of expertise including Reward, Employee Relations, EDI, and Talent Acquisition to deliver the people strategy.
- Leverage data, insights, and continuous improvement practices to identify opportunities and optimize ways of working.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a generalist HR or People Business Partner owning relationships within defined business units.
- Experience working with directors, department heads, or senior operational leaders.
- Hands-on delivery of people processes like performance management, talent reviews, and compensation planning.
- Skilled in coaching managers and influencing decisions on a broad range of people matters.
- Background supporting organizational change and executing people initiatives in complex settings.
- Commitment to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion in everyday business partnering.
