Description de l'emploi

Role overview

This part-time, remote position in the United States is part of the People Operations team and reports to the Director of People Operations. It is a senior individual contributor role focused on supporting employee relations, workforce planning, compliance work, policy administration, organizational communications, operational readiness, and broader business initiatives.

The role calls for more than technical HR capability; it requires sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, discretion, and the ability to do the right thing even when issues are difficult or unpopular. The selected person will act as a trusted partner to the Director of People Operations and help guide decision-making across employee relations, workforce strategy, project rollouts, compliance, and operational priorities.

Work schedule and location

The job is fully remote within the United States and is intended to support Pacific Time business hours. The expected workload is about 20 to 25 hours per week. Core working hours are generally 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, with weekends required as needed. Occasional schedule changes, extended hours, or limited weekend coverage may be necessary depending on operational demands, project launches, organizational priorities, or employee relations matters.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle employee relations issues and workplace concerns with care and discretion.
  • Carry out investigations, gather facts, and review supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate policies, procedures, corrective actions, and internal workforce communications.
  • Support compliance reviews, audits, and wider organizational initiatives.
  • Spot possible risks related to employee relations, hiring, compliance, and day-to-day operations.
  • Take part in project launches and workforce readiness planning.
  • Work with recruiting teams on workforce planning and hiring activities.
  • Help develop policies and prepare organization-wide communications.
  • Contribute to leadership discussions and workforce planning efforts.
  • Offer practical recommendations and insights tied to people and operations matters.
  • Serve as a reliable People Operations partner across the organization.

Character and leadership expectations

The ideal candidate is expected to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times. They should make thoughtful decisions, remain objective, avoid bias or favoritism, raise concerns early, respectfully challenge ideas when needed, balance employee advocacy with business needs, and consistently follow through on commitments.
