Role Overview
We are inviting an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our compact HR team based in Adelaide. Collaborating closely with our Payroll Officer, you will be accountable for the complete and punctual processing of payroll, guaranteeing compliance with relevant legislation, awards, Enterprise Agreements, and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the payroll function for the Australian Drilling Services division, which encompasses around 450 employees.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing on both a fortnightly and monthly schedule.
- Ensure precise calculation of wages, salaries, superannuation, allowances, and deductions.
- Maintain and update all employee payroll records accurately.
- Interpret and implement applicable awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation correctly.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and offer prompt support to employees and managers.
- Reconcile payroll reports to verify data accuracy.
- Prepare and file statutory reports, including STP, PAYG, and superannuation submissions.
- Support payroll audits and conduct compliance verifications.
- Handle processing of new hires, terminations, and employee status changes.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to maintain data integrity.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in managing small to medium payroll functions, with preference for comprehensive end-to-end payroll handling.
- Prior exposure to Dayforce payroll software is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organization and time management capabilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and discreetly.
- Excellent communication skills paired with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
