About the Role
We seek an experienced Payments Business Analyst with robust functional knowledge in banking and payments. This position involves close collaboration throughout the project lifecycle with business and technology teams to gather, analyse, and document requirements, transforming them into user stories, and enabling the delivery of payment solutions. A key part of the role is interpreting regulatory guidelines and facilitating detailed requirement walkthroughs to ensure business needs align with technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and document business requirements by evaluating current processes and defining future solutions.
- Convert business needs into clear, actionable user stories and functional specs.
- Analyze regulatory materials such as SWIFT and SEPA rulebooks to determine business and functional impacts.
- Lead requirement walkthrough sessions collaborating with stakeholders, architects, and technical teams during delivery phases.
- Create comprehensive documentation including process flows, functional specifications, procedures, and manuals.
- Assist in solution design ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in banking, with emphasis on payments.
- Expertise in analysing solutions and gathering requirements for complex banking initiatives.
- Strong understanding of payment processing systems, banking platforms, and payment regulations.
- Proficient at interpreting regulatory updates and industry standards like SWIFT and SEPA.
- Knowledge of Instant Payments, ISO 20022, and PSD2 is highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management across business, IT, and architecture teams.
- Strong ability to produce detailed documentation including mapping, diagrams, specs, and manuals.
Additional Details
The role is based onsite in Dublin three days per week, under an initial 12-month contract with potential extension. The start date is immediate.
