Primary Duties

• Register and schedule patients efficiently for appointments, diagnostic procedures, and tests.
• Handle incoming phone calls and manage follow-up or referral queues, as well as ticket scheduling.
• Communicate with patient care teams to facilitate proper care coordination.
• Conduct patient checkouts and arrange follow-up visits according to physician instructions.
• Provide patients with accurate cost details and schedules for upcoming visits.
• Manage multiple service lines across Essentia Health in a fast-paced environment with high call and work queue volumes.
• Collect necessary signatures and documentation from patients during scheduling and registration.
• Support population and chronic disease management initiatives through patient outreach and registry maintenance.
• Fully pre-register all patients calling for appointments, including verifying insurance eligibility and guarantor information.
• Enter data accurately into electronic health records while interacting with patients.
• Contribute collaboratively with clinical and support staff to deliver exceptional service and clinical results.
• Perform other clerical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least one year of clinical healthcare experience, OR
• One year’s experience as a Patient Scheduler I, OR
• One year’s experience working in a contact or call center environment.

Work Details

• Position: Full-Time
• Work location: Remote with potential hybrid options.
• Shift: Day rotation within the United States.
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities.

• Compensation: Hourly wage between $18.71 and $28.07.
