Job description
Job Overview
This position serves as the initial point of contact for all queries related to the sales and technical interpretation of spare parts within the CAPS product range. The role underpins both local branch functioning and the wider National Parts Group (NPG), facilitating efficient, effective, and customer-centric parts services.
Primary Duties
- Serve as the key liaison for internal and external customers requiring spare parts details, quotations, and technical guidance.
- Deliver precise and prompt interpretation of parts requirements across CAPS products.
- Handle order processing and customer inquiries with care and professionalism.
- Support the local branch by assisting team members with parts and inventory knowledge.
- Aid in managing local inventory, controlling stock levels, and coordinating dispatch when needed.
- Engage in branch meetings and projects aimed at enhancing service and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with NPG members to share expertise, balance workload, and apply industry best practices.
- Participate in the advancement of procedures that boost the efficiency and capacity of the NPG.
- Contribute to national initiatives focused on bettering parts interpretation and elevating customer satisfaction.
Internal and External Collaboration
- Work closely with branch sales, service, stores teams, and leadership including branch and NPG managers.
- Liaise with CAPS technical and engineering personnel.
- Coordinate with CAPS customers, suppliers, manufacturers for parts sourcing and clarification, and logistics providers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in parts interpretation or technical sales, ideally within industrial or mechanical sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to work.
- Experienced with inventory management and ERP software such as Pronto or equivalents.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with problem-solving skills.
