About Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks Football Club
The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks are an esteemed, premiership-winning NRL club boasting a rich heritage and an ambitious vision for the future. Positioned as a leading sporting organisation in Australia's foremost sport, they maintain top-tier competition both on the field and in commercial operations, fueled by goals of high performance, innovation, and strong community engagement.
Currently, the club is entering an exhilarating phase celebrating its iconic sport and entertainment brand, marked by milestones such as the launch of the new Sharks Leagues Club, the 10-year anniversary of their Premiership win, and 60 years of participation in the NRL.
Role Overview
The club is in search of a dynamic and motivated Partnerships Executive to join the Commercial team. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Partnerships & Hospitality, this role carries significant responsibility for enhancing partner relations and guaranteeing exceptional sponsorship results.
This position is fast-paced and highly relationship-focused, ideal for an individual who thrives amidst the demanding environment of professional sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand professional relationships with major, minor, and corporate partners.
- Ensure successful execution of all sponsorship benefits including marketing campaigns, activations, player appearances, special events, and hospitality services.
- Work collaboratively with partners to synchronize marketing goals and optimize partnership value.
- Lead the onboarding process for new partners, designing customized benefit structures.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to guarantee flawless fulfilment of partnership commitments.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive ROI reports and strategize for upcoming seasons.
- Assist in organizing corporate events in cooperation with the Commercial and Events teams.
- Manage activations and experiences during game days for partners.
- Engage horizontally within the organisation to bring partner projects to fruition.
Candidate Profile
- A qualification in Business, Marketing, or related field is required.
- Experience in managing partnerships or commercial relationships is essential.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and growing partner relationships.
- Preferably experience within the sports industry.
Additional Information
- Flexibility is necessary given the demands of sport business operations, which may include weekend and game-day shifts.
- Desirable qualifications include degrees in Sports Management, Business, Sports Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications.
