Role overview
Reliance Industries Limited is hiring an Officer for Fire Services in DMD at Bharuch, Gujarat. The role focuses on plant fire safety, emergency response readiness, equipment checks, and shift-wise documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare for rapid response to all emergency calls, including mock drill situations.
- Carry out scheduled fire safety inspection rounds across the plant.
- Use Incident Command & Control methods to manage emergencies and limit their impact.
- Guide the emergency response team during normal shift work as well as active emergency events.
- Make sure firefighting systems, safety equipment, and communication tools remain available and functional.
- Monitor and support the working condition of fire vehicles and jeeps.
- Assist management with important fire-safety-related issues and decisions.
Compliance and documentation
- Follow all fire safety standards, procedures, and checklist requirements.
- Maintain the log book, occurrence book, and other shift-related records.
- Keep up proper discipline and conduct within the fire station.
- Maintain maintenance-related records and documentation.
Education and experience
- BSc (Fire), BSc (PCM), or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical with a Sub-Officer course from a reputed institute.
- BSc (Fire) candidates should have 2 years of experience.
- BSc (PCM) or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering candidates with Sub-Officer qualification should have 2 years of relevant experience.
