Role Summary
The NPS Buyer role plays a critical part in managing procurement operations that support business success. The position demands strategic oversight of procurement processes across key categories to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The incumbent will enhance supplier partnerships to ensure continuous operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Factory, Finance, Supply, and other departments to understand budgets and project needs aiming to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Work cross-functionally and with vendors to develop and implement sourcing strategies based on stakeholder requirements.
- Analyze indirect material spending to identify opportunities, select and develop suppliers, and negotiate contracts for services.
- Encourage suppliers to prioritize the company by proposing innovative and cost-efficient solutions.
- Drive ongoing improvement of supplier service and quality performance.
- Identify and manage category-specific risks and opportunities, promoting creative solutions for mitigation and quick execution of improvements.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts in cooperation with the Legal team.
- Lead the preparation of major CAPEX cost planning for the Nigerian factory.
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid experience in procurement or related fields with comprehensive knowledge of supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation capabilities paired with analytical skills and strategic planning aptitude.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for engaging all business levels.
- Experienced in procurement software and highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
