Job description
Role Overview
As a Night Officer at The Kingsley in Cork, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding evening hospitality services, managing the reception desk during night hours, and ensuring guest satisfaction through efficient check-in and check-out processes along with meeting any guest requirements overnight.
Key Duties
- Provide exceptional service to guests during evening hours, exceeding their expectations.
- Manage the reception area at night, facilitating smooth check-in and check-out experiences.
- Perform consistent security patrols to maintain safety standards throughout the premises.
- Attend to guests' needs including room service deliveries for food and beverages, as well as any other service requests.
- Maintain guest comfort and attentiveness throughout the overnight period.
- Carry out night audit procedures and prepare related reports as part of nightly operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a comparable night receptionist or related role is preferred.
- Excellent customer service orientation with neat and professional presentation.
- Fluent command of English language.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer use, preferably in Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Administrative capabilities covering report writing and night audit compilation.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently.
- Commitment to adhere strictly to policies and operational procedures.
- Familiarity with health and safety and fire safety protocols.
- Comfort and suitability for working nocturnal shifts.
- Competent in conducting security checks during the night.
- Possession of a valid Private Security Authority (PSA) License is desirable but not mandatory.
- Availability to work over 25 hours per week.
Training and Development
Successful candidates will receive training in fire safety, as well as certifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
