Role Overview
The National Curriculum Consultant is a sales-support position that contributes directly to revenue growth by leading curriculum-centered pre-sales conversations and presentations across the United States. The role partners closely with the sales team and district stakeholders to demonstrate product value, support evaluation cycles, and help move opportunities forward.
This is a regular, full-time remote role reporting to the National Curriculum Consultant Manager. The position requires substantial travel across the United States.
Compensation and Travel
The expected base salary range is $75,540 to $94,000 per year. In addition, eligible employees may receive incentive, commission, or annual bonus compensation depending on individual and/or company performance. Final pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, education or certifications, location, internal equity, and market conditions.
This role is remote within the U.S. Candidates living within 50 miles of a major or international airport are preferred, and applicants based in the Midwest states of OH, MI, IL, IN, MN, and WI are especially preferred to support sales efforts in those areas.
Travel is expected at about 50% overall, including overnight trips, and may rise to as much as 75% during peak periods. A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record for the past 39 months are required for travel.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and present highly engaging pre-sales presentations in both live and virtual formats for prospective and existing customers.
- Build persuasive, competitive presentation materials that reflect customer needs and sales priorities.
- Represent the company at district meetings, conferences, webinars, and internal events with presentations and proposals.
- Adjust messaging and delivery in real time based on district objectives, instructional needs, and stakeholder feedback.
- Work with sales representatives to design, tailor, and execute territory-specific strategies.
- Diagnose customer challenges and connect them to solutions that show measurable value and impact.
- Support the full pre-sales process while keeping efforts aligned with customer goals and engagement targets.
- Plan and oversee pilot programs, including presentations, training, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Advise district stakeholders during product evaluation and adoption phases.
- Bring strong curriculum and instructional knowledge across K–12 Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies.
- Stay current on education trends, pedagogy, and new developments in edtech.
- Act as a subject matter expert on digital curriculum products and learning technologies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to strengthen sales outcomes and overall effectiveness.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, including district leadership.
- Create pre-sales resources, alignment documents, and related support materials as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales and/or education leadership.
- At least 3 years of experience teaching core curriculum.
- Experience presenting to executive-level and district-level audiences.
- Strong presentation ability in both in-person and virtual settings such as Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, and a willingness to learn new technology quickly.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Solid understanding of instructional technology, curriculum systems, and LMS tools.
- Persuasive communication style with strong executive presence.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to adapt in fast-moving sales environments.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% during peak seasons, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment that requires flexibility and responsiveness.
- STEM background and bilingual experience are preferred.
