About the Role and Company
Sprout Living is a purpose-driven consumer packaged goods (CPG) company developing a diverse portfolio of innovative brands. We are looking for a National Account Manager to oversee account management, handle distributor and broker relationships, lead the sales team, and drive sales execution, reporting, and growth across various channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage partnerships with distributors such as KeHE, UNFI, and other regional and international partners.
- Lead the broker network ensuring clear priorities, responsibilities, and accountability.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts in natural, specialty, conventional, and digital sales channels.
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and programs designed to increase sales velocity and overall growth.
- Supervise and mentor the sales team to optimize performance.
- Analyze syndicated market data, distributor portals, and sales reports to monitor performance and find growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports including forecasts and analyses of promotional activities.
- Work closely with marketing to support shopper marketing campaigns and trade promotions.
- Collaborate on pricing strategies and coordinate new product launches.
- Identify prospects for new business and expand the account base across channels.
- Track and manage trade spend to maximize return on investment.
- Act as the company’s representative at important industry events and trade shows.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Between 5 to 8 years of experience in CPG sales, specifically managing brokers and distributors.
- Experience with direct account management at major natural or specialty retailers.
- Knowledge of trade promotions, deductions, and distributor management portals.
- Strong skills in sales data analysis and reporting tools.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience within sales teams.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build strong business relationships.
- Capability to work independently within a lean, entrepreneurial setting.
