Role overview
Key Mortgages is seeking a Mortgage Assistant / Loan Writer to join a close-knit brokerage team in Whangarei’s active property market. The business has built a strong reputation over more than a decade by offering a highly personalised service, maintaining strong relationships with lending partners, and helping clients move through the home-loan process with ease.
This position suits someone who can stay ahead of needs, communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, and juggle multiple priorities without losing accuracy. It may appeal either to an administrator wanting to grow in the mortgage sector or to an experienced banking professional looking for a new challenge, with scope for development and long-term success.
What you will do
- Work closely with the owner/director and act as a dependable support person to help make the best use of their time
- Maintain and manage a large existing client portfolio
- Prepare loan applications and gather supporting information, including follow-up where needed
- Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners
- Keep the CRM up to date and accurate
- Assist with system implementation initiatives
- Handle refix-related administration and follow-ups
- Support client retention activities
- Safeguard confidential and highly sensitive information
