At its well-connected headquarters in Lensahn, around 500 employees contribute to the development and manufacturing of these medical devices.
Role overview
The company is looking for a shipping and logistics team member to join the dispatch department as soon as possible. The position is based in Lensahn and also involves tasks connected to the warehouse in Hamburg.
Shipping and warehouse responsibilities
- Handle outgoing shipments as well as incoming goods work at the Lensahn and Hamburg warehouse locations.
- Load and unload the sterilization chamber.
- Accept and process all deliveries arriving at the site.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and compare them against delivery documents.
- Mark materials and take samples for quality checks.
- Put goods into storage, remove them from storage, and repack them when required.
- Prepare materials for production and dispatch.
- Replenish hazardous materials and stage them for disposal.
- Record material movements in the system and perform other general warehouse duties.
Sterilization duties
- Assemble and prepare loads for the sterilization chamber.
- Complete the information sheet for the loading of sterilization vessels.
- Distribute bioindicators into the sterilization material as instructed.
- Load and unload the sterilization chamber.
- Start the sterilization cycle and monitor the process.
- Remove bioindicators and sample items for the laboratory.
- Complete the required documentation and process logs related to sterilization.
- Receive, store, and connect ETO containers.
Candidate profile
Applicants should ideally have completed training as a warehouse logistics specialist. Alternatively, several years of experience in warehouse operations is acceptable. A forklift licence and a driving licence are required, along with solid German reading and writing skills.
