Job description
Role Overview
This position involves conducting microbiological assessments of water, environmental surfaces, cleaning, sanitization, and product samples. The specialist will design testing protocols, organize sample collection, evaluate results, identify microbiological hazards, and support remediation efforts to comply with corporate policies and regional regulations.
Experience and Knowledge Required
The candidate must have over three years of professional experience in microbiological testing and sanitation within quality assurance, microbiology labs, or food safety sectors, with substantial expertise in lab management.
Familiarity with USP microbiology testing techniques is essential; knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSMA/PCQI, AOAC/ISO methodologies, and ISO 17025 accreditation standards is considered advantageous.
Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, risk evaluation, leadership qualities, and teamwork skills are vital for this role. The specialist will work closely with departments such as Quality Control, Sanitation, Production, Research & Development, and technical units to coordinate microbiology testing activities.
Fluency in both Arabic and English, alongside the capacity to operate independently within a dynamic manufacturing setting, is necessary. Flexibility, meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks are required, including working in an industrial plant setting while adhering to personal protective equipment protocols.
