Role Summary

We are seeking a dependable and dynamic team member to support our merchandise processing operations. This role is essential to the smooth flow and presentation of our thrift store inventory, ensuring an organized, welcoming environment and exceptional customer engagement. You will thrive in a busy atmosphere, executing tasks from sorting to assisting customers with energy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sort, tag, grade, and price incoming merchandise according to company standards.
• Organize and hang items by category, size, and color on rolling racks.
• Support donation management, sales floor changes, stock replenishment, and preparation for sale days.
• Conduct daily routines to maintain merchandise flow, including sorting and rack organization.
• Accurately label bins and implement color-tag rotation procedures to keep inventory current.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the processing area following proper protocols.
• Comply with PPE, lifting, and safety guidelines, reporting hazards promptly.
• Engage in daily team huddles and support general housekeeping to promote an efficient workplace.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Previous experience in warehouse, inventory processing, or retail back-of-house environments.
• Knowledge of thrift or second-hand merchandise condition grading is advantageous.
• Understanding and practice of basic health and safety procedures, including PPE usage.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequent physical activity: standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull rolling containers weighing up to 500 lbs.
• Exposure to dust, dirt, occasional rodents, and variable temperatures in a noisy setting.
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and closing shifts.
• Regular interaction with customers and the public.
