Role Overview
We are seeking skilled professionals to enhance our Search team by creating state-of-the-art information retrieval models. This role involves advancing semantic search capabilities to deliver accurate and efficient search experiences, leveraging innovative technology and collaborating across teams to integrate solutions into our search infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, train, and refine cutting-edge search models to improve the search system's accuracy and efficiency.
- Collect and prepare high-quality retrieval datasets and optimize data pipelines for effective model training and evaluation.
- Partner with the model serving team to guarantee robust, fast inference performance.
- Work alongside product teams to develop practical solutions tailored to user needs.
- Engage in research collaborations with external partners and academic institutions, contributing publications to leading conferences and journals.
- Demonstrate ownership, adaptability, and contribute actively at a critical growth phase of the company.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, TF-Serving, JAX, and XLA/MLIR.
- Experience developing and utilizing various information retrieval models.
- Familiarity with incorporating Large Language Models in training data or evaluation workflows.
- Effective communication skills and strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience assembling training and evaluation datasets for real-world applications.
- Competency in additional programming languages such as C++ or Golang.
- Knowledge of large-scale GPU-distributed training methods.
