About the Role
Join Danone (Nutricia), a global leader in health-focused nutrition, as a Medical Affairs Manager based in Sydney. This full-time, permanent position offers an opportunity to influence the future of nutrition by providing trusted scientific leadership, education, and evidence-based support for healthcare professionals, patients, and families, helping improve pediatric nutrition outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver scientifically accurate, evidence-based educational materials and resources for healthcare professionals, consumers, and patients ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Implement medical affairs strategies aligned with business and healthcare goals within the Nutricia portfolio.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and external stakeholders to promote scientific understanding and advocacy.
- Lead training programs to enhance internal stakeholders’ scientific knowledge and confidence for effective communication.
- Organize educational events, such as webinars and scientific engagement initiatives, targeting healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers.
- Monitor emerging scientific and clinical research, converting complex findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Market Access, and Medical to deliver integrated healthcare initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Background in dietetics, nutrition, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a related scientific discipline with a passion for enhancing patient and consumer health through evidence-based nutrition.
- Experience in an industry setting, ideally as a Dietitian, Nutrition Scientist, Food Technologist, Pharmacist, or Chemist, preferably within FMCG or healthcare sectors.
- Tertiary qualification in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Technology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field.
- Familiarity with nutrition products and prior Medical Affairs experience is advantageous.
- Strong ability to interpret scientific research and translate it effectively for varied audiences.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven skills in stakeholder engagement, collaboration, project management, and handling multiple priorities efficiently.
- Commercially aware with understanding of how scientific endeavors align with business objectives.
