Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer specializing in Fabrication and Painting projects to join our team. The role involves overseeing the entire fabrication and painting processes on site while ensuring adherence to quality and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to drive the fabrication activities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of material properties, especially metals, to select appropriate materials and handle them correctly.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG, and other joining methods necessary for fabrication work.
• Operate and understand machinery used for machining processes like cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling components.
• Manage painting operations involving Bill of Quantities (BoQ) preparation, measurement, and execution of painting work.
• Carry out stringent quality control measures to assure that all fabricated and painted products meet required standards.
• Efficiently allocate tasks among team members to ensure timely delivery according to the project schedule.
• Maintain communication with clients to keep them updated and address project-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain necessary project documentation for records and reporting.

Requirements

• Strong ability in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good understanding of material characteristics and behavior during fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with welding techniques such as MIG and TIG.
• Familiarity with machining and fabrication equipment and operations.
• Knowledge of painting project management including BoQ, measurements, and execution processes.
• Experience with implementing quality control procedures.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team coordination.
• Ability to manage project documentation meticulously.
