Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong enthusiasm for innovative engineering and complex mechanical systems to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. The successful candidate will be integral in the design, development, and deployment of advanced mechanical systems, particularly focusing on thermal management and electronic enclosure assemblies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop intricate mechanical systems, including thermal management solutions and electronic enclosures.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models along with part and assembly drawings.
- Utilize engineering simulations to optimize thermal management systems.
- Perform thermal and mechanical analyses using CAE and FEA tools, focusing on stress and strain assessments.
- Support and execute thermal and mechanical testing, designing suitable test methodologies.
- Apply materials science expertise for appropriate material selection, particularly within vacuum and thermal systems.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and contractors, managing technical specifications and aiding in the delivery of components and systems.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven significant experience in mechanical system design, especially thermal management and electronic enclosure assemblies.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software for mechanical and structural design.
- Experienced in CAE tools and thermal/mechanical finite element analysis, including stress and strain evaluations.
- Hands-on experience in thermal and mechanical testing along with associated test procedures.
- Deep understanding of materials science and its application in vacuum and thermal environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Fluency in both German and English languages.
