Role overview
A real estate development business in Accra is looking for a seasoned Marketing Director to shape and run its full marketing operation. The role will focus on strengthening the brand, refining market positioning, and helping deliver sales growth across residential, commercial, and mixed-use property projects in Ghana and the wider West African market.
Key responsibilities
- Create and implement the yearly marketing plan while staying within the approved budget.
- Develop and safeguard the company’s brand presence across digital and offline channels.
- Plan and lead promotional activity for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Build and maintain partnerships with brokers, influencers, and institutional collaborators.
- Oversee social media, digital content, and SEO/SEM activity.
- Coordinate with advertising agencies, photographers, and media production partners.
- Track campaign results using analytics tools and prepare performance updates for senior leadership.
- Study the Ghanaian property market and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Plan property exhibitions, open houses, and real estate events that support lead generation.
- Share market intelligence with the General Manager to guide business development decisions.
- Lead, coach, and supervise the marketing team, including task allocation and performance monitoring.
- Set clear KPIs and ensure the team is accountable for measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a closely related field is required.
- At least 5 years of marketing experience is needed, including a minimum of 2 years in real estate or property.
- Experience in launching projects and managing multi-channel campaigns is essential.
- Hands-on knowledge of digital marketing and analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Meta Ads, is expected.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities are necessary.
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills are required; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- The candidate should be able to think strategically and generate creative campaign ideas.
- A results-focused mindset with ownership of KPIs is important.
- Good relationship-building skills and the ability to manage several campaigns at once under pressure are needed.
