About the Company
Our client is a manufacturer specializing in chemicals including pharmaceutical intermediates, catalysts, cosmetic additives, photo initiators, and grafted polymers. They serve the specialty and pharmaceutical industries through their advanced facilities located in Hyderabad and Vizag.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role requires an individual with an M.Sc. in Chemistry and approximately eight years of experience in market intelligence within the chemicals or pharmaceutical industry. The candidate will support activities such as lead generation, competitor intelligence gathering, landscaping, and identification of unmet market opportunities (white space). The preparation of product dossiers and close monitoring of global chemical trends, emerging molecules, and patent expiries are key functions. The role also involves analyzing regulatory developments such as REACH and environmental compliance requirements.
Key Duties
- Support lead generation and competitor intelligence efforts for specialized chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates.
- Perform landscape analyses to identify white space and outsourcing opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain product dossiers to support business initiatives.
- Monitor global chemical trends, emerging molecular entities, and patent expiries impacting the sector.
- Track and analyze regulatory shifts including REACH and other environmental compliance mandates.
- Evaluate competitor capacities, asset footprints, technology platforms, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct project feasibility assessments and support capacity expansion initiatives.
Required Profile
- Master's degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.)
- Minimum eight years’ experience in market intelligence focused on chemicals or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, especially REACH.
- Ability to analyze competitor infrastructure, technologies, and pricing models.
- Capability to identify outsourcing windows and market white spaces for business growth.
