Job Summary

This role leads the Process Engineering department, focusing on achieving high levels of operational efficiency, integrity, and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities

• Strive for excellence in all professional activities.
• Act as an innovative and proactive member of the management team, constantly pursuing continuous improvement.
• Supervise Manufacturing Engineering Technicians assigned to specific production lines to monitor machine and line performance, guiding necessary actions to maximize machine and process efficiency.
• Provide training to Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and Assistants in areas such as maintenance, repair, machine programming, optimization, and part-data file creation.
• Collaborate with Line Supervisors, Machine Support Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers to identify corrective measures to enhance machine efficiency and yield, and develop documented procedures to maintain operational excellence.
• Offer expert guidance to technicians on machine adjustments, repairs, and demand-maintenance tasks as needed.
• Coordinate coverage for Manufacturing Engineering Technician duties during absences and, when required, fulfill these duties personally under critical circumstances.
• Support Manufacturing Engineers in optimizing processes including IR reflow, wave soldering, solder paste screen printing, tooling design and manufacturing, and design for manufacturing recommendations.
• Ensure regular data integrity tasks such as backups of programs and part-data across all lines within assigned plants.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and public audiences.
• Analytical ability to define problems, gather and analyze data, and draw sound conclusions.
• Proficiency with personal computers, including Windows OS and related software.
• Advanced computer skills including experience with Jabil-specific software suites.
• Capability to compose simple written correspondence and interpret visual aids.
• Common sense understanding to execute straightforward, brief instructions.
• Ability to manage standardized tasks with minimal variability.
• Competence in reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
• Mathematical skills including basic arithmetic operations, fractions, decimals, as well as calculating rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting graphs.
