Manager – Regulatory Expansion & Market Enablement

Overview

This pivotal role involves facilitating regulatory licensing, international market entry, and operational preparation to introduce regulated payment products in new regions. You will work within a rapidly expanding global payments and fintech company, driving licensing and global expansion efforts from strategic planning to execution.

Key Functions

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to interpret regulatory mandates into actionable, coordinated plans with defined ownership and launch-ready models.
• Oversee licensing applications across various jurisdictions by coordinating with internal experts and external consultants, managing timelines, documentation, dependencies, and governance throughout the licensing phases.
• Monitor regulatory requirements, translating them into practical directives for appropriate business and functional units.
• Prepare comprehensive updates, decision documentation, and escalation reports for senior leadership.
• Lead cross-functional programs for entry into new countries and launch of regulated payment solutions, including market assessments around regulatory feasibility, operational needs, product readiness, and risk management.
• Develop integrated launch schedules ensuring all teams are informed of milestones, responsibilities, and dependencies, addressing obstacles proactively in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Convert licensing conditions and regulatory commitments into scalable operational processes, controls, and procedures by partnering with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Operations.
• Support governance arrangements, progress reporting, risk assessments, and follow-ups post-launch while fostering robust frameworks and playbooks for future expansions.

Candidate Profile

• 4 to 7 years of experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services, consulting, strategy, program management, or regulatory operations.
• Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects within regulated sectors.
• Sound knowledge of payments industry, regulatory compliance, licensing processes, and international market expansion.
• Strong program management skills capable of structuring ambiguous challenges, handling multiple workstreams, and maintaining project momentum.
• Effective and confident communicator, adept at engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams across geographies.
• Highly organized with acute attention to detail comfortable operating in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings.
• Experience with fintech, payments firms, digital banks, regulators, consulting companies, or global financial institutions will be considered an advantage.
