About Gardens by the Bay
Situated in the heart of Singapore's Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay encompasses 101 hectares across three waterfront gardens: Bay South, Bay East, and Bay Central. This landmark serves as a showcase of horticulture and garden artistry, embodying Singapore's "City in a Garden" vision and presenting it to the world.
Role Overview
The Manager (Protocol) plays a pivotal role in maintaining the prestige and standards of Gardens by the Bay during official visits, VIP engagements, and key events. This role involves comprehensive planning from pre-visit arrangements to day-of-event coordination, ensuring flawless execution and a distinguished experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage official visits, VIP engagements, and prominent events covering all phases including pre-visit communication, site preparation, and on-site management.
- Serve as the main liaison among internal teams and external organizations to align expectations and apply appropriate protocol standards for various visit levels.
- Maintain accurate visit schedules, documentation, and generate reports to keep relevant parties informed and coordinated.
- Provide operational assistance at major attractions and the Garden Cruiser, support the Guest Experience team by handling guest feedback, inquiries, and service recovery to uphold superior service quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Degree or Diploma preferably in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Customer Relationship and Service Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Between 3 to 5 years of professional experience in guest-facing roles and/or event management.
- Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple visits and stakeholders simultaneously, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with VIPs, senior stakeholders, and partners confidently.
- Poised and adaptable team player who initiates work independently, manages high-pressure or uncertain situations with clarity, and comfortably navigates the diverse settings within the Gardens.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
