  • Ensure the technical content within learning outputs is accurate and reliable.
  • Provide detailed graphic design and storyboard instructions to multimedia producers as required.
  • Report development progress and potential quality or scheduling challenges to the Senior Manager of Learning Content Management.
  • Manage financial operations of the ABS Academy including invoicing, inter-department charges, budgeting, and monthly forecasting.
  • Offer subject matter expertise for the creation and facilitation of employee development programs.
  • Recommend strategies to maintain efficient, well-staffed, and organized Academy operations.
  • Update local management on training activities and outcomes within the Academy.
  • Communicate with the Lead for Learner Experience regarding local producer performance and Academy initiatives.
  • Oversee instructor coordination, material handling, storage, packaging, and distribution for all curriculum deliveries.
  • Maintain training resources in compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Support employee learning and development goals within ABS.
  • Drive continuous improvements in training operations and processes.
  • Gather and relay feedback from ABS employees to ensure satisfaction and promptly resolve any issues.
  • Comply with ABS Quality System requirements, participate in audits, maintain quality documentation, and stay updated on health, safety, quality, and environmental management system policies.
  • Assist in delivering client training, ensuring approval and certification processes are met as needed.
  • Build and nurture client relationships by providing impactful, high-quality training across multiple clients and business divisions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or another relevant technical field.
  • Between 6 to 8 years of professional experience in a marine classification society focused on technical service development, engineering, or in-service surveying.

Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth technical understanding of ABS survey requirements; auditing experience is considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn new software tools as necessary.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities to guide, organize, and motivate team members at various levels while managing significant responsibilities independently.
